15/07/2008 | Riders battled extremely strong gusty winds during the 47.3km handicap race to the Iron Baron turn off and returned to the finish at the Wetlands on Saturday. The riders were really buffeted by the winds as they came along the straight past Nonowie Station and had to stay alert to make sure they didn’t clip the wheel of the rider in front.

9/07/2008 | Novice rider Alex Bradbury has been improving each week, completing his 10 kilometre ride from the flood bend on the Point Lowly road to the Fitzgerald Bay turn off in 25:33.64 minutes at an average of 23km/hr. Nearly a minute faster than his previous time over this distance.
