This Saturday Steel United will travel to Jenkins Park to do battle with Lions in the first League Championship meeting between the two sides so far this year.
Lions will hope to provide for themselves a platform from which to put together consecutive winning performances and build a basis for a title challenge, but ultimately will not look beyond this game as each week is another piece of the puzzle and a separate challenge in itself.
Lions did quite well to turn around early season disappointment to get a result away to Westlands United, but that was two weeks ago and every week is a new challenge.
It is important for each side not to get carried away with one particular performance and instead each game should be seen as another golden opportunity.
Steel United should also be pleased with what they have achieved over the past few weeks, as their performances have shown a positive attitude and a desire to succeed.
Winning five-one two weeks ago at Wanderers was an indication of what can be achieved by the green team when they put their heads and hearts behind it.
Further encouragement can be taken from their follow up performance last weekend when they were certainly up for the one all draw against early pace setters Westlands.
It will be anticipated that this early season clash between these two contenders will be an action packed game with action flowing end to end.
Special note will be taken when observing the potential match ups in this game to ensure the dangerous players are nullified by each others opponents.
Do yourself a favour and get down to this game as I am expecting this game to be a tough, fast paced game with the odd surprise or two.
See you there!
