Horse riders need to help with beautification

The Editor,

The development of the wetlands is an asset of which Whyalla could be proud.

It attracts tourists as well as locals and was becoming a beautiful landmark.

The lack of rain coupled with the seeming lack of maintenance have produced a rather sad appearance and it’s appropriate for council to call on volunteers to assist with improvements (would that they could bring more rain)!

Perhaps the horse riders will be first in line so that they can clear their droppings from the pathways throughout this public asset.

Allowing this type of pollution and health hazard to continue is at odds with procedures set up by council for responsible dog ownership.
